Program overview

Math, off the worksheet

Our Youth Math Club is open to Cope Middle School students in grades 6 through 8. Each week, members work in small teams on problems that don't show up on a typical homework sheet — logic puzzles, pattern-hunting, and the kind of multi-step questions that reward a good guess-and-check as much as a memorized formula.

The goal isn't just sharper test scores, though those tend to follow. It's helping kids see themselves as people who are good at math, out loud, in front of their friends. Members who want more of a challenge can try out for regional math competitions each year.

In partnership with

Cope Middle School Math Club

This club is exclusively for Cope Middle School students, giving members a familiar, comfortable space to tackle problems together with their own classmates right after the final bell rings.

In partnership with

Redlands High School Irrational Logic

Irrational Logic is Redlands High School's own math club, meeting during the school day for problem-solving and competition prep. This partnership is open exclusively to enrolled Redlands High School students.
